White Rose Crafts March Blue Skies Blog Hop 2019

It is so completely humbling to be a member of the White Rose Crafts Design Team which is why my initial launch of my very own blog KCatCreations.blogspot.com is occurring with the White Rose Crafts Design Team March Blue Skies Blog Hop.

Have you seen the White Rose Crafts March "Blue Skies" Subscription Kit? There are only a few left in stock, so don't miss out on a chance to own your own bit of Blue Skies. But did you know that with each of the the kits, there is always a Kit Add-On section of the store that features items that compliment your subscription kit?  Also did you know you can get anything in that March Kit Add-On section for 10% off using the code March Add-Ons!!!!

For my Blue Skies Blog Hop Creation I was inspired by how beautiful life is even when our minds are boggled down with constant chaos and how we should just take a moment in all the chaos to breathe it in.  Of course White Rose Crafts LLC online shop had everything I needed to make that thought into a creation.

Distress oxides are such fun!!! One by one my collection continues to grow as White Rose Crafts has such a great selection allowing my techniques to expand.  I used all the blues I had in my collection including: Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Broken China, and Faded Jeans. I applied them in a circular motion using a sponge on Bristol Smooth paper pretty much the whole sheet. Then lightly sprayed with water to activate.  Although the sponge method gets your fingers more inky  - - -it just seems to work best for me. Who cares that you go to your Full-Time job with ink on your fingers that does not come off????  It is for the love of creating after all!!!  LOL

Then once that dried I stamped the Ultimate Crafts background stamp; Rambling Rose and using the Oxide Ink Pad Hickory Smoke over the background I created.  While that dried I stamped out a butterfly using the Oxide Ink Pad Mustard Seed and let that dry. After the stamped butterfly settled I used the sponge technique again and with the Oxide Ink Pad Wild Honey added the color to the wings of the butterfly. I then fussy cut the butterfly out and set it aside.

When the background was dry I then cut out a piece of it to fit my card base and attached it. Then with the Kelly Creates stamps I applied the sentiment with memento black tuxedo ink. The fussy cut out butterfly was positioned on the card using foam tape for dimension.  Well then of course some Doodles Paper Playground Sequins were needed as a finishing touch!!!! The Sequin mixes from Doodles Paper Playground are so versatile when creating!!!
